Thursday, February 8 will be the 100th day of school and our Kindergartners will be doing their annual 100th day of school parade. The students always come up with delightful costumes and posters to represent “100” in creative ways.
Please see the proposed calendar for the ‘24-25 school year. The first day of student attendance would be Monday, August 26. The year would start one week later than the current school year, to accommodate the influx of people in Chicago for the Democratic National Convention.
We are also excited to be hosting the CPS Arts Summit next Friday, February 9. Over 250 arts teachers from throughout Chicago Public Schools will be here engaging in professional learning. We are proud that Waters continues to be a center for the Arts in CPS.
