No Parking During Ice Clearing Operations

During the winter, the City of Littleton conducts ice clearing operations in areas where ice melting is limited due to insufficient sunlight. The City has removed the 'No Parking on Wednesdays' signs previously positioned along E. Hinsdale Ave. and E. Dry Creek Pl. Instead, they will provide advance notification to the District when ice clearing operations are scheduled to occur.

District management will issue an email notice, requesting residents to relocate their vehicles within the specified timeframe. Additionally, notifications will be placed on the windshields of vehicles parked in the affected areas, kindly urging owners to move their vehicles. The City appreciates your cooperation in temporarily relocating your vehicle, which allows access for the ice clearing equipment and ensures safer conditions for pedestrians.

Reminder - Please Pick Up After Your Pet

City code requires that dog owners promptly pick up dog waste. Pet waste is unsanitary, unsightly, smelly, carries disease and parasites, and is harmful to grass lawns. Pet waste is not a fertilizer and should not be left on the ground.
The owner of any dog shall immediately remove any feces deposited by such dog on any property, public or private, not owned or exclusively occupied by the owner.

The owner of any dog shall also be responsible for the periodic removal of feces deposited by such dog on property owned or exclusively occupied by such owner as to not allow such accumulation that creates an unsanitary, offensive, or unhealthy condition.
Please do not place household trash, especially glass items, into the dog waste receptacles. Thank you for your understanding.

Reminder - Dog Leash Law Must Be Obeyed

Both the City of Littleton and South Suburban Parks and Recreation District require that, outside of designated off-leash parks, pets must be on a leash at all times.

Littleton's Animal Control division is part of the Littleton Police Department. Reports can be made via the police non-emergency number at (303) 794-1551.
It shall be unlawful for the owner of any dog to permit such dog to be off the premises of such owner unless such dog is on a leash no longer than six feet (6') and strong enough to control such animal and held by a person competent to restrain such animal.
