Happy New Year!
We hope that you all managed to get a break over the holiday period, and are now feeling rested and ready to go in 2024.
As we head into term 1, we are welcoming everyone back into the House, and the team is excited to say hello to new and familiar faces.
If you're looking to get involved in our activities, our Yoga program is back this week with Monday lunch time and Tuesday and Thursday evening classes up and running again. You could also try out our Social Craft Club on Wednesdays, or join our Elwood Kitchen Library as a member to rent out a range of fun kitchen & dining items. Yoga is back!
All yoga classes return this week. Join us on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays to relax and unwind, or recenter your mind through yoga.
Classes run for an hour and 15 minutes, and focus on intentional movements, breathing exercises and strengthening the body with our experienced teachers.
Mondays: 12:30pm
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 6:30pm
Cost: $15 or $10 concession. 10 class passes are available for $130 at reception or over the phone.

Come along to our Social Craft Club!
Our Craft Club brings together people from all walks of life who want to work on a creative project, or simply surround themselves with other like-minded people.
The club runs on Wednesdays from 10:30am - 12:30pm. These are drop in sessions, so feel free to come along at any time during this window.
Cost: $5 per session

Art Therapy
Join our Art Therapy course starting this Friday the 2nd of February.
This all abilities Art Therapy course provides an opportunity for creative expression and is guided by our experienced art teacher.

How quickly our fickle hearts
Turn sublime love and passion
Into hate and vitriolic eyes shaded
Love and hate into equal measures
Words of love and kindness lost
Passion rises like tides in the summer
Then recedes just as quickly into contempt
Ego’s shattered erosion of tenderness
The mind and heart despising and contracting
Small acts of fondness and quirkiness
Become tiresome and vexing to love
Slowly time erodes our passion, and we hate
Floods in our hearts mixed in mud
We look at the whirlpool of thoughts
Looking through the murky water
Then remember the clear stream of love
