UBCAni Valentines ParaSocial: The VTuber Awards! Corporate Hell Simulator
We're excited to announce this year's Valentine's Social: Corporate Hell Simulator! You as the incredible VTuber company you are, will be debuting your new VTuber in an attempt to win the Rising VTuber Company award! Design your VTuber, debut, and become sellouts for views to pave your way to stardom through scandals and financial trouble at this Valentine's social!
Join us on Saturday, February 3rd at 4:30 PM and work together with your fellow company associates to be THE rising star of the night! The event will run until 9:00 PM!
In addition to our VTuber Awards, we'll be running a cosplay contest and prize raffles during the award show! Those who come in cosplay will receive extra raffle tickets towards our prizes! We'll also host a random dance party featuring the wonderful Cloudtown Idols. And of course, we'll be serving refreshments and snacks!

In the event of a transit strike, the Valentine's Social will be moved to Friday, February 16th in Buchanan. For those who purchased tickets and are unable to attend the rescheduled date, we'll offer full refunds! This will all be announced as soon as possible in the event of a strike.

Movie Night and Live2D Workshop!
Hey everyone! We're going to be hosting a chill movie night this Friday in Buchanan! But wait! There's more: In addition to the movies, we'll be hosting a Live2D workshop for everyone interested in the process of rigging a VTuber!
The Live2D Workshop will start in Artists Meetup where we'll go over how to draw for VTuber art, and how to turn any still image into VTuber compatible! We'll also do a beginner walkthrough on how to use Live2D!
The latter half of the workshop: Rigging for Live2D will go over the steps necessary to set up a VTuber rig!
For both workshops, you'll need a fully charged laptop and Live2D Cubism FREE version. If your laptop has a working camera, you can also download VTube Studio ahead of time as well!
For movie night, we'll be screening some romance-themed anime films ahead of Valentine's Day! Come join us as we watch Your Name by Makoto Shinkai and Ponyo by Studio Ghibli!
