On Friday, February 23, please join us at Manatee County’s Neighborhood Summit for a day of collaboration, innovation, and community empowerment. This free one-day event is a civic engagement opportunity designed to bring together neighborhood leaders, volunteers, and community partners to connect, build networks with fellow neighborhood associations, and celebrate the work that’s been done throughout the community. Local leaders will present topics relative to natural environment, sports & leisure, cultural opportunity, and grant opportunities. The Friendship Dining Program is for people over 60 who would like to make new friends, participate in fun activities, and hear from local experts on a variety of topics as well as enjoy a nutritious meal. Friendship Dining Centers are conveniently located in East and West Manatee County. In some instances, transportation can be provided. All Friendship Dining Center clients receive a daily meal, providing one-third of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA), and are approved by a registered dietitian. Scholarships may be available.
