FEBRUARY 2024
WELCOME

It is great to welcome you to our latest Mailchimp as the new Director of Mission and Dean of Pioneering and Fresh Expressions for the Diocese of Southwark.

I am very excited to see how the combined Mission and Pioneering team can be more than the sum of its parts and can support you in our parishes in Mission and Ministry. We now bring into one team Children and Youth, Estates, Fresh Expressions, Justice Peace and the Integrity of Creation, Mission Action Planning, Pioneering and soon the area of Revitalisation.

One thing you will notice in this edition is that we are merging the Mission and Fresh Expressions newsletters into one although we are keeping a separate Children and Youth one.

In this edition we have stories of grafting into Merstham, the new Estates Lay Pioneer Course, the Lent Climate Pilgrimages being led by Bishop Martin, how to get involved in Operation Forgiveness (tackling knife crime) as well as news on training, gatherings and grants.

PIONEERING & FXC STORIES

Over the winter we heard wonderful stories of the new works of mission and outreach events taking place in the Diocese.
