On Thursday, February 1, join Visit Lake County for its free quarterly partner forum at 9 a.m. at Half Day Brewing Co. in Lincolnshire. This forum kicks off our inaugural Lake County February Flavor Festival, a month-long initiative showcasing VLC restaurants and the Libation Trail.
Attendees can arrive at 8:30 a.m. for registration, networking and breakfast. The 9-10 a.m. program will highlight our celebrated foodie and libation month and recent and upcoming VLC sales and marketing initiatives. We will also hear from a member of the Lincolnshire brewery.

Mark Your Calendars for Lake County Flavor Festival - Running All February
|

From February 1-29, Visit Lake County has combined the renowned Lake County Restaurant Week and Libation Trail initiatives into one taste-tempting, month-long event: the February Flavor Festival.
The 29-day drink and foodie flagship program highlights 100+ restaurants, breweries, distilleries and wineries, with many offering prix fixe menus and special offers, food and drink pairings, live entertainment and other fun promotions to attract new guests and generate awareness.
The inaugural event revolves around supporting local restaurants. The focus is encouraging residents to generate foot traffic to the cuisine makers in their hometowns and across the land of lakes.
This installment of the event encourages restaurant-goers to CHECK IN TO WIN with two separate mobile apps. The contest features various foodie prizes and a chance to win an overnight/theatre package at Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, Marriott Theatre and Three Embers Restaurant or Wright's Brew & Bistro, a cooking class at The Joyful Gourmet in Libertyville, a Lake County LIbation Trail long-sleeve T-shirt and a gift card to a participating eatery. Here's how you enter:
- Aim your smartphone camera at the participating eatery's QR code on the table tent or visit our LCRW landing page (coming soon).
- Enroll for mobile deals, a list of participating locations and complete details.
- Follow instructions to "check-in" at over 80 land of lakes restaurants (once per location).
- Check-in at three or more locations to be eligible to win
 
VLC has partnered with WXLC-FM 102.3 (102.3XLC), WIIL-FM 95.1 (95 WIIL ROCK), WKRS-AM 1220 (TUDN 1220) and celebrated Chicagoland meteorologist and Lake County dweller Mike Caplan to host a series of Facebook Live videos. In addition, the land of lakes bureau also showcases a series of Instagram takeovers by Lake County foodie influencers.
