As we start 2024, PPA is quickly jumping into several activities and events supporting our mission of providing scholarships to women in Arizona. November provided us an opportunity to collaborate with PGA with volunteers at the Charles Schwab Cup where we earned an all-time high $9,204 - thank you to all of you who helped in concessions. December was a busy but very successful month for us. At the Celebration of Charity we collected more than 1100 stuffed animals for A Mighty Change of Heart. We can't execute that event without the alumnae chapter support. Right after that we had the annual Kendra Scott Event and once again we exceeded our prior years by raising $1310! Great job by the Events Committee who coordinated everything.
The Scholarship Committee is currently collaborating with the Collegiate Relations and Media Relations teams to promote our scholarships to all 4 campuses and alumnae chapters and we hope to have a recordnumber of applicants. Because of our successful year at Waste Management Open in 2023 we have a significant amount of funds to provide scholarships - we anticipate another great year in February. If you haven't signed up for volunteering, please reach out directly to philanthropy@phoenixpanhellenic.com and they can let you know what shifts are available. I look forward to seeing many of you out at the course.
The annual Spring celebration has a new name - Sisterhood Soiree - and will be April 27th at 11:30am at the Arizona Country Club. If you haven't attended this event before, we hope you will join us. Information about tickets will be on our website and social media in February.
I was very proud to accept the Harriet Macht Outstanding Alumnae Panhellenic Award at the NPC meeting in October alongside Amanda Dailey (Vice-President), Alison Mulikin (Treasurer), and Gina Curtis and Morgan Sexton (Philanthropy Co-Chairs). As I told the NPC leadership, we are not sitting back on our laurels and I think the successes we have already had this year show it. If you are interested in getting involved with PPA, please reach out to me. I hope to see you at the Open and the Soiree!

CELEBRATION FOR CHARITY
We are thrilled to announce Phoenix Panhellenic Association gathered more than 1,000+ stuffed animals for A Mighty Change of Heart. AMCH provides personalized duffle bags to children in the foster system to take with them as they move from location to location. These duffel bags are sometimes the only belongings these children have. AMCH works to make sure the duffle bags contain essential items such as new clothes, shoes, toys, hygiene products, books and of course a stuffed animal!
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION NOW OPEN
Phoenix Panhellenic Association is once again offering scholarship awards to Arizona women who are initiated members of one of the twenty-six member organizations of National Panhellenic Conference sororities. Although scholarship amounts may vary from year to year, over $50,000 was awarded to 30 Arizona undergraduates and alumnae last May. Scholarship checks will be made out to the student and the university that the student will attend. Previous recipients may apply in succeeding years. Scholarship decisions are based on academics; contributions to sorority, school, and community; and financial need. Applications are due February 29, 2024.
