Upcoming Events & Opportunities

February 4th @ 7 pm: Castle of our Skins' third annual Black Student Union Intercollegiate Fellowship cultivates connection among musicians from local Black Student Unions. To conclude the fellowship, students will co-curate and present a final concert around the theme of EmBODYment featuring works by African diasporic composers. Join COOS for the free final concert on Sunday, February 4th at 7:00 pm at the Boston Center for the Arts.

February 23rd @ 7 pm: Through her role as Creative in Residence, Jenny will perform with Marimbist Steph Davis at Black to the Future. Prepare to be transported through time and space with live performances, captivating visuals, and cosmic confections. Immerse yourself in an atmosphere that echoes the interstellar vibes of Afrofuturism and help ensure a brilliant future for Castle of Our Skins. This Afrofuturist soiree will begin at 7:00 pm on February 23rd at Black Market in Roxbury. Support COOS in promoting Black artistry, history, and culture by purchasing a General Admission ticket for $50. Sponsor levels begin at $500.

March 3rd @ 6:30 pm: Secure your ticket for the Modern Connections Winter Rep Class Showing on March 3rd at 6:30 pm. The event will be held at Jo-Mé Dance Arts in Jamaica Plain. Doors will open at 6 pm, the show will start at 6:30 pm, and light refreshments will be served afterward. Follow the link below to your claim your free ticket. Donations are optional and welcome.

Spring Rep Class: Missed joining the winter rep class? We have good news! You won’t have to wait another year to participate. With the new model that we instituted this season, we’ll be able to offer another rep class in the spring. Check out the March newsletter for the interest form and training day information.

May 5th (Rain Date: May 12th) - MayFair Festival: Save the date for Harvard Square’s annual celebration of Spring through music, dance, and more. Modern Connections has been a part of the dance stage in the past and we are exploring ways to participate this year.

February Class Schedule

There are no changes to the Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday class schedule.
