This semester has certainly come in with a bang! We hope you are all staying safe in the cold weather and finding ways to keep the winter blues at bay. Speaking of staying busy, our committee has been hard at work creating the next Staff Development and GO! program. We hope that you can join us on Thursday, January 25 at 10 a.m. CST for our program. Check your Outlook calendar for the invite/zoom link!
Staff Development Program - Cura Personalis with Father Sullivan and Cristina Hiddleston
Cura Personalis. The phrase is everywhere. It decorates our hallways and infiltrates our emails. But what does it actually mean when we use it? This upcoming For and With Others meeting, representatives from Mission & Ministry will briefly expound on the history of the term and how St. Ignatius envisioned it. As a community, we will then explore the practical applications of St. Ignatius's cura personalis so that we can better serve our students, co-workers, and the larger Creighton community.
GO! Program - Becoming Reflexive Individuals: Connecting with Others with
Dr. Moises Gutierrez
In this presentation, Dr. Gutierrez will discuss the importance of moving beyond reflectivity to strive toward becoming reflexive individuals as reflexivity is key to relating to and connecting with others. Expect these questions to be answered:
What does it mean to become reflexive individuals?
What is reflexivity critical in the dynamics of DEI?
How is reflexivity used in the process of co-creating understandings and knowledge?
