JANUARY 25, 2024
2023 was an excellent year, thanks to YOU! With your help, EAGLE was able to soar into new opportunities. We presented at national conferences and held trainings, reaching over 600 law enforcement officers. We had 13,310 visitors to our website, with users from all 50 States and the District of Columbia. Our reach was further extended as a result of the newsletter in which we have 647 subscribers. We also made important updates to EAGLE resources including upgrading the First Responder Checklist and updating the State Specific Laws. The input we received from you all was invaluable in carrying out EAGLE's work this past year. As we enter a new year, we hope to continue to improve by fostering the relationships we have made and implementing your input through the changes made on EAGLE.

Combatting elder fraud and abuse and ensuring that older Americans receive the support and protection they deserve, are a top priority for the Justice Department. Their efforts to prosecute elder fraud and abuse do not occur in a vacuum: many professionals work together and aid those efforts by supporting victims in their safety and recovery and preventing elder fraud and abuse before they occur. This Report highlights the Department’s programmatic activities, enforcement actions, and public outreach and training efforts. Read the report to learn more, including a mention of EAGLE.
