January exploration: Cirrusly cool clouds

Happy 2024 and welcome back!


We thought we would start our first 2024 newsletter with some cirrus cloud puns that will bring a smile (or an eye roll) to your face.


Why shouldn't you fight with a cloud?



Because it'll storm out on you!


What happens when it rains cats and dogs?

​You have to be careful not to step in a poodle!


I tried to catch some fog



​​But I mist!

I was going to tell another cloud joke...

​But it just drifted away!

Using the resources below, you can help your students observe and identify cloud types and explore how clouds influence the Earth’s climate, weather, and energy balance. Whether or not you include a few cloud puns along the way is up to you!

CREATE A PORTABLE CLOUD
