Hey there, just a quick heads-up - we've got a few friendly book club guidelines to keep our discussions lively and respectful!
Come Prepared: Please read the assigned chapters or book sections before the meeting. Our discussions will be more engaging when everyone is familiar with the material. We invite you to post a list of questions on ither Bookclubs.com or email us at Women.apa@gmail.com. We can make sure everyone gets a copy of these questions beforehand to help facilitate discussion!
Respect Timeliness: If you're running late, that's okay, come on in!
Stay on Topic: During the meeting, let's focus our discussions primarily on the book and related topics. It's okay to share personal experiences and anecdotes, but please do so in the context of the book's themes.
Share Your Thoughts: We want to hear from everyone! Don't hesitate to express your opinions, whether you loved or had reservations about the book. Diverse perspectives enrich our discussions.
Mindful Listening: While others are speaking, be a mindful listener. Avoid interrupting and let them finish their thoughts before responding.
Respect Differences: We may have varying opinions and interpretations of the book. Respect these differences and engage in constructive conversations.
Be Open to Change: We are open to suggestions for improving our book club's format or activities. If you have any ideas, please share them with the group.
Have Fun: Lastly, let's remember that this book club is about enjoying literature and connecting with fellow book enthusiasts. Let's have fun and make the most of our discussions!
Thank you for your commitment to our virtual book club. We look forward to engaging discussions and memorable reading experiences together.
