Find everything you need to celebrate Family Day weekend right here in the City of Niagara Falls! With a variety of events and programs happening all weekend long – there’s something for everyone!

Robothink Stem Workshop: Friday, February 16
Niagara Falls History Museum

In this workshop, students can learn about the world of STEM and robotics as they build their simple machines and then use gears, motors, axles, and batteries to bring their creations to life.
  • Where: Niagara Falls History Museum, 5810 Ferry Street
  • When: Friday, February 17, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
  • Who: Ages 5 - 12
  • Price: $40 per person
  • Registration is required.
The theme of this workshop is RoboPetz. No experience is necessary.

Exchange Open House: Saturday, February 17
The Niagara Falls Exchange

All are welcome to the FREE Open House event, from 10 am to 4 pm, featuring art installations, live music, activities, vendors, and more. Visitors will have the chance to explore the new Arts & Culture facility, including the Market Hall, Artist & Woodworking Studios, and Café (opening at a later date).

Coding Introduction Workshop: Monday, February 19
MacBain Community Centre

Have you ever wanted to try coding? Learning to code on a computer is similar to learning a language! Join Niagara-based Kidz Who Can for a fun and educational introductory coding workshop this Family Day.
  • Where: MacBain Community Centre, 7150 Montrose Road
  • When: Monday, February 19
  • Price: $5 per person
Coding classes allow kids to use prompts and activities to express their creativity through storytelling, animation, and visual design while creating video games and projects.

Sportball Workshop: Monday, February 19
MacBain Community Centre

Ready to be active, play fun games and learn all about different sports and movements? Join Sportball Niagara for an introductory Sportball session this Family Day.

These well-rounded classes provide a fantastic foundation for a lifetime of active living, bundling soccer, baseball, basketball, football, hockey, volleyball, golf and tennis into one comprehensive package.

No need to register! Just drop on by between Friday, February 16 and Monday, February 19, for open programs that anyone can enjoy.

Free Family Day Activities: Monday, February 19
The Exchange & Niagara Falls History Museum

Spend Family Day at the Museum & Exchange! Join the Earth Rangers for live animal shows at 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm, & 3 pm in the newly opened Exchange (5943 Sylvia Place).

This unique and up-close encounter with their animal ambassadors will leave you educated and inspired to help protect animals in the wild. 

Other activities at the Niagara Falls History Museum (5810 Ferry Street) include free family portraits by Digital Attractions, scavenger hunts, face painting, crafts, and three galleries full of artifacts that explore our local history.
