We are thrilled to invite you to join us for special presentations in February and March, celebrating Black History Month and Women's History Month respectively.

Dramatic Readings In Black Literature: Celebrating Black History Month
Instructors: Denise Raynor, Jill Parks, Jane Shalhoub
Wed. February 28th - 11:30AM - 12:30PM

Step into the world of powerful voices and poignant narratives as we celebrate Black History Month with dramatic readings from renowned African American writers. In this engaging presentation, participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the works of literary giants such as Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou, and Toni Morrison.

Students will explore selected excerpts and poems that capture the essence of the African American experience, spanning themes of identity, resilience, social justice, and cultural heritage. Led by passionate facilitators.  Free to members.

Berry Gordy, Jr., and the founding of Motown. Gordy was the impetus behind the phenomenal growth of the Detroit based recording business.
