We have entered the Lenten season. This is the first Sunday in Lent, and we will journey through these forty days, plus our worship gatherings, exploring and engaging the “last words” of Jesus. Words from the cross.
Jesus’ first act (in Luke’s account) is to ask the Father to forgive those who had hung him there. Here He shows love even to His worst enemies and reveals to us that none of us should despair of God’s mercy and forgiveness, no matter how much we have sinned-even those who crucified the Son of God were forgiven.
