Thanks Living:
Joyfully Transforming Lives

Our Mission Statement:
"To be a community that shares the joy of God's Love"

Words from Father Ed:
Thanks to all for your presence and participation at our Annual Meeting last Sunday. We accomplished all on the agenda, including the reports, the thank you’s, election of new vestry members and delegates to the Diocesan Convention, and some information about our future plans.
We celebrated our new mission statement “To be a community that shares the joy of God’s Love” and we agreed that prayer is our main resource ( along with plenty of funds, thanks to past bequests) for finding a new priest. And we were wonderfully in agreement that St. Patrick’s needs a full-time priest, hopefully to be found later this year of 2024.

Here are those elected;
As Delegates: Jackie Senter, Minerva Haddad, Wendy Wood, Sandy Keith, Rich Randolph, and Jay Luther.

As Alternates: Betsy Randolph and Brian Borgfeldt

To the vestry for a one-year term, and appointed Sr. Warden for this year – Jackie Senter.
To a three-year term and voted to be Jr. Warden for the first year – Ron Keith
To a two-year term – Leslie Clark
To a two-year term – Matt Ganz
To a three-year term – Xavier Cabrales
To a three-year term – Adele Daw

Continuing on the Vestry
For one more year and voted to be the Clerk for this year – Minerva Haddad
For two more years – Chuck Wood
For one more year and voted to be the Treasurer for this year – Wendy Wood

The new vestry will attend an orientation workshop on Saturday, February 10, from 10am -2pm. They will review what it is to be a vestry member in the Episcopal Church, look at the on-going issues at St. Patrick’s and some future challenges, and especially get to know each other and the skills and talents that each vestry member has. Finally they will look at the responsibilities of a vestry – any vestry – and in particular a vestry in the Diocese of Northern California. Pray for them, please.

Into the Wilderness Retreat offers time to experience a personal, sacred journey of spiritual reflection and renewal as we enter the season of Lent. The focus of this retreat is to discover the wisdom within our own wilderness journey as we approach the week called Holy.

We will spend the day together participating in spiritual practices of art, poetry, spiritual reflection, walking the labyrinth, prayer, listening and sharing.

Blessing Bags

If you have questions, please contact Betsy Randolph at (408)981-1001 or email at Rjurny@gmail.com.  There are lists of contents on a table in the narthex.

Here’s what goes in the Blessing Bags:
1 pop top can of pasta with meat
1 juice box
1 granola-type bar
1 package of crackers with cheese or peanut butter
A napkin and sturdy plastic fork
Place everything in a quart-sized plastic bag.  The stretchable Glad bags work very well.  If you like, you can include a short hopeful message.

You can drop off your blessing bags in the blessing bag box located in the narthex or deliver to the Randolph's home: 8399 Oakmont Dr., Santa Rosa, CA 95409.
Please call Betsy Randolph for questions at (408)981-2024.

When was the last time someone stopped everything to listened to you? They put down their phones, turned off the T.V., turned their bodies towards you, and listened intently to you? Listening is world altering gift. If you have the gift of listening I am asking you to join a Regional Discernment Group (RDG). We especially need people in the Russian River Deanery and Capital Deanery to join RDGs. We need people who are willing to listen and discern people’s calling. Deep listening acts as a mirror to help people see themselves and one of the greatest gifts you can give.

Please sign up here for the training on March 2nd.

Please contact The Rev. Anny Genato, pastoranny@staugustineepiscopal.com, if you have any questions.

For complete extended diocesan news please contact communications@norcalepiscopal.org

Food Donations Needed
F.I.S.H. of Santa Rosa

IMPORTANT CHANGE

F.I.S.H’s current twice-a-month family distribution system is neither financially nor physically sustainable. Due to a dramatic increase in demand, our volunteers are overwhelmed, and we are dealing with an extreme decrease in donations. For these reasons, F.I.S.H. has reverted to a once-a-month policy as of January 01, 2024. This means that our clients will be able to receive 2 bags of groceries, ONCE a month.

To volunteer and donate, please go to our WEBSITE

About us:
ln 2023 F.I.S.H. served an average of 4,976 people per month, and historically approximately 35% of those helped are children. The number of people asking for assistance from FISH has increased dramatically since 2022. F.I.S.H is currently open five days per week to offer food to people in need - including seniors, homeless, unemployed, low-income, disabled, and  more...Your donations feed many.

Spread the LOVE!

Our friends at F.I.S.H. of Santa Rosa would like our help with peanut butter donations!  If you would like to bring in jars of peanut butter to help fulfill their needs to keep serving those in need. You can also bring canned soup and other food non-perishable items. Peanut butter is their greatest need at this time. You are welcome to bring other canned food and baby diapers!
Drop off your donations in the basket located in the Narthex.
We thank you for all your help!
