Hi <<First Name>>!
I'm so excited to finally send out the first Eco-Vegan Gal newsletter! It's perfect timing given the launch of the new website, which put the format below in place. Each week you'll receive little bits of exclusive information that will inspire you to become healthier and happier. I would love to read your
success stories as you evolve, which can be emailed me to me privately or shared with the whole community
here. So, with no further ado...
Eat: Product of The Week
Ignore the title - Brian is no ordinary dude. He's hilarious and extremely talented, with a knack for making vegan food fun and appealing to the most meat-lovin' people. If you've been looking for a way to convince your friends and family that plant-based meals can be
satisfying and flavorful without being too serious, this is the book for you. Whip up a batch of Brian's Balls; Et Tu, Tempeh?; Boomin' Shroomers; The Sailor's Peanut Butter Rum ice cream or The Dirty Dudetini cocktail and watch eyes light up around the dining table. While it's not the healthiest vegan cuisine, it is a great
indulgence and perfect for impressing skeptics. And while you're cookin' up a storm, tune into Brian's
YouTube channel for some entertaining cooking tips and giggles.

Vegan Is Love on CNN
By now you've probably heard the controvery around the new
children's book "
Vegan Is Love: Having Heart And Taking Action", due to it's "graphic" illustrations that show children the brutal truths behind animal cruelty and slauter. If you haven't been keeping up on it, I highly recommend you read my friend
Rachel Avalon's compassionate review and check out this powerful video interview with the
Ruby Roth, the author, on CNN. My favorite quote is at the end of part 2: "
we don't have to fear anything that we have the power to change."

Living In The Moment
I downloaded this song and listened to it for the first time while on a hike in San Francisco, and it couldn't have been better timing. It's a really uplifting beat with lyrics that remind us all to
be positive and live in the moment in order to focus on what's really important. Finding this balance is so important to
creating inner and outer peace. I highly recommend watching
this video and reading the lyrics, then do something good with the inspiration it brings you.

Eat: Recipe of The Week
Watermelon Mojito: Raw, Free of Sugar, Gluten, Soy, and Packaging
This is by far one of the most interesting things I've made, but it is quite refreshing and very filling. I didn't want to scare you with the title, but it's actually watermelon
rind juice blended with fresh mint, lime and dates. Sounds kinda gross but I'm obsessed with it, and it's a great way to use the whole watermelon. I don't know about you, but I've been OBSESSED with watermelon and since I eat it practically everyday (yup) my compost was overflowing with rind until I stumbled upon this recipe. Plus, it has all sorts of nutrients like vitamin C, lycopene and antioxidants. So, head to the store, buy yourself a watermelon, bliss out while eating the inside, and then top it all off by breaking out your juicer to make this satisfying drink!
Watch the recipe here (written version will be up on site soon).
