MESSAGE FROM ELENA

A quick reminder on the real estate front: February is the important month to file your Vacant Home Tax Declaration if you're in Toronto. This year, the tax has been increased to 3% of your property's assessed value, applicable to properties that were vacant for 6 months and more. For a $1,000,000 home, this means an extra $30,000 in taxes. Don't forget, the deadline is February 29, 2024. You can file using this link:

On the mortgage side, things are looking stable, which gives us hope for a better year ahead. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or need assistance.

Warm Regards,

Elena
