Fire Department Invites All Local Third-Graders to Enter Annual Safety Poster Contest


The Forsyth County Fire Department invites all local third-grade students to share their artistic talents while promoting a commitment to safety in its annual Safety Poster Contest.


Submissions will be accepted through March 1, and more information about the contest’s themes can be found below!

In November 2023, 911 Center Asst. Supervisor Racheal Champion answered the phone like any other day. But when Mr. Zipperer called because his wife became unresponsive, Champion jumped into action, sending over first responders and providing CPR instructions.

Probate Court to Host Free Wedding Ceremonies on Valentine’s Day  


What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than a free wedding?

  

Forsyth County’s Probate Court is offering free wedding ceremonies on Valentine’s Day for couples that reside in Forsyth County. Couples are encouraged to bring family and guests to attend the ceremony to celebrate the marriage.

Third Annual Storm Drain Art Contest Challenges Students to Promote Water Quality Education  


The third annual Storm Drain Art Contest submission deadline is approaching!

  

Keep Forsyth County Beautiful and the Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer invite Forsyth County middle and high school students to showcase their artistic abilities with submissions due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16. 

 

Know a student artist? Invite them to submit original artwork that educates about water quality and clearly enhances the theme: Only Rain Goes Down the Drain
