Explore Black literature at Pages of Colour
On March 7, join Pages of Colour, which will feature Black vendors and authors, literature, spoken word performers, activities, prizes and more. The free event is organized by UTM Library and Black at UTM in collaboration with Pearl Tita's Blk Book Fair, a platform that showcases Black authors and literature.

Researchers invited to learn about First Nations OCAP
The Centre for Research & Innovation Support (CRIS) will host a six-week Fundamentals of OCAP opportunity for U of T researchers and their team members committed to First Nations reconciliation who want to learn how they can respect the principles of Ownership, Control, Access, and Possession (OCAP) in their research. Sessions run from May 15 to June 19.
This program, offered asynchronously, is sponsored by the Indigenous Research Network and developed by the First Nations Information Governance Centre. Participants will also meet synchronously in a ‘book club’ format. Register by 5 p.m. Friday, March 8. Successful candidates will be notified by the end of March. Learn more
New tool to hook phishing scams
A new "Report Phishing" button will soon be available in Outlook for all University of Toronto staff, faculty, librarians and students to use for reporting suspicious emails. This new button will appear in Outlook toolbars between now and March 8, and should be used instead of Microsoft’s “Report Message” button. Learn more
Apply to serve on Governing Council boards
The application process for co-opted seats for administrative staff on the Governing Council Boards is now open. Co-opted members are non-Governing Council members who are appointed to serve on the boards of the Governing Council. Successful applicants will serve from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. Seats to be filled:

Up to one seat on the Business Board
Three seats on the University Affairs Board

Davis dock demolition begins
As part of the New Science Building project, the loading dock area in W.G. Davis Building, Level 0 is being demolished and replaced with a new expanded dock, to be completed by October 2024.
