Black History Month 2024 – Interview with Bernadeth Betchi


To celebrate Black History Month, CAPE interviewed Bernadeth Betchi, a CAPE member, representative plaintiff in the Black Class Action lawsuit, and 2023 CAPE presidential candidate. CAPE invited her to talk about her experience running for President of the Canadian Association of Professional Employees, anti-Black racism and discrimination in the workplace, and much more.

CAPE celebrates Black history in Canada by honouring and embracing the important role that Black people and their communities have played in shaping the federal public service, the labour movement, and Canadian society.
