Thank you to everyone who attended the Fairboard Chili Cook Off, there was a full house for this event. A huge shout out to the fairboard kitchen committee chair and advisor, volunteers and those who contributed to the bake sale, we appreciate all your hard work on a successful event!

Congratulations to Kristin Leffingwell who won for Soup with her Clam Chowder, and Kevin Collins who won for his Chili out of 14 entries. Thank you to Senator Jeff Gordon, State Representative Tim Ackert, and Trini Roberts, TAC Board Vice President for taking the time to judge this event.

Are you fascinated by the world of genetics, eager to learn more and help shape future learning opportunities? Do you believe in the power of informal education to empower communities?
If so, we invite you to be a part of something truly special!
We are forming a Personal Genetics Learning Community dedicated to developing engaging lesson plans for informal education. As a volunteer member of our committee, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals, share your expertise, and contribute to the creation of dynamic educational materials that will inspire and educate learners of all ages.

Fairboard Consignment Fundraiser 

 
Donate seasonal women's and children's clothes (now accepting spring clothing) along with home goods, knickknacks, jewelry, and new unopened toys to Ellington Fine Consignments. When those items sell Tolland County 4-H Fairboard will get a portion of the sale. Make sure you tell them you would like to sell under Tolland County 4-H Fairboard when dropping off your items.

Tuesday - Friday 10 am - 5 pm, Saturday 10 am- 4 pm


UConn 4-H Goat Day 2024 will take place on April 6th in Storrs, CT.  Workshops include dairy, fiber and meat goat workshops and are open to individuals ages 7 and up.

 Registration deadline is March 13th

Registration may be mailed in or submitted online at s.uconn.edu/goatdayreg.


The 2024 UConn 4-H Dairy/Beef Day will be held on Saturday, March 9th at the UConn Storrs campus. Registration fee is $10 per person.

As a Tolland County 4-H member you are automatically a member of the county fairboard. Everyone is welcomed to attend the fairboard meetings!

Your input helps us plan out a successful fair each year. Fairboard Meetings are the second Wednesday of every month at 6:45 pm

We want to see YOU and hear YOUR ideas at our monthly meetings.

Are you enrolled in Zsuite for this year? 

The 2023/2024 4-H Year began October 1st.  All youth and adult members should be enrolled in ZSuite prior to engaging in any 4-H activities.

Enroll in ZSuite today!

There are 2 sets of instructions to get you started:

For families with an existing 4-H Online account
For families that need to set up a brand new account

Club Leaders & Fairboard Advisors - A reminder that you must complete the minor protection training in person, virtually or online (found in clover academy). This is an annual requirement and must be completed along with your enrollment before you can be approved in the system.
 

Poultry Decal – Shop 4-H
Reminder: Due to continued concerns around avian influenza, poultry may not be brought to or handled at club meetings or any 4-H related activities until further notice.

There are rules for proper use of the 4-H Clover. 
Please make sure you are familiar with those rules.  If you are unsure feel free to reach out to the county 4-H office for clarification or to get approved graphics for use.
