A busy week for Premier Personal PR clients.

Last Sunday saw multiple Premier personal PR clients attend the BAFTA Film Awards: Samantha Morton, recipient of the BAFTA Fellowship Award, ’Best British Film’ nominee Emerald Fennell, and citation readers Chiwetel Ejiofor, Gillian Anderson, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Jack O’Connell. Nick Mohammed also performed his ‘Mr Swallow’ sketch, whilst previous winner, Joanna Scanlan, attended as a guest of the British Film Institute. 
On Tuesday, the opening night of An Enemy of the People took place at The Duke of York’s theatre, starring client Matt Smith. On the big screen, Thea Sharrock’s Wicked Little Letters theatrically released. The same day, Olympia of Greece attended the Gucci AW24 show in Milan, and Kate Winslet joined the Graham Norton show to discuss her highly anticipated new series The Regime. Finally, on Saturday, Ray Winstone appeared on the Jonathan Ross show to discuss his upcoming Netflix projects The Gentlemen and Damsel, as well as celebrating the forthcoming anniversary of his 50th year in the business. 

Immersive screening event launches new Sky Nature documentary Secret World of Sound with David Attenborough.

This week, Premier launched the new Sky Nature documentary Secret World of Sound with David Attenborough by producing an exclusive nature themed Sound Bath hosted by wellness expert and influencer Jasmine Hemsley. Over thirty media and influencers attended the event which was followed by an immersive screening at the Ham Yard Hotel. 140 guests attended the event, including Sky stakeholders, media, influencers, the Humble Bee production team as well as Sir David Attenborough himself. Guests delighted in a living photo wall, themed cocktails and canapes before getting an exclusive look at the first episode of the new documentary series, experiencing the immersion of surround Dolby Atmos sound. Coverage from the event including quotes from the Q&A and imagery of David was achieved across Metro, Tech Advisor, and a spread in The Times plus strong social coverage from the influencer guests.  

The Edinburgh Science Festival announces programme for 35th edition.

Premier Scotland launched the 35th anniversary Edinburgh Science Festival programme on Thursday 15 February. Edinburgh Science Festival is the first and still one of Europe’s biggest science festivals, taking place over the Easter holidays, between 30 March and 14 April. With the 2024 theme of Shaping the Future, the Festival continues its years-long commitment to Programming for the Planet. It urges everyone to build a more sustainable future as it showcases cutting-edge technology, including Artificial Intelligence, and science research to help make that ambition a reality. From The Traitors with robots to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon in a planetarium to history of poisons, the Festival has something for all the sci-curious out there.

Summer Sessions adds over a dozen artists to 2024 festival line-up.

This week Premier announced the addition of over a dozen artists to the Summer Sessions 2024 music festival line-up. Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne, Air, Paloma Faith will all headline massive live music events taking place around five locations in England and Wales this June and July. Find out more here

True Detective: Night Country comes to UK Screens.

Premier worked closely with Sky and streaming service NOW to welcome the stars and creator of True Detective: Night Country to London for a two-day press tour, ahead of the highly anticipated finale. Jodie Foster, Kali Reis, Finn Bennett and Creator Issa Lopez took part in over 20 junket interviews across broadcast, print, online and social, as well as numerous live broadcast appearances including ITV This Morning, British GQ, NME, Evening Standard, The i paper, Harper’s Bazaar, Reign and Soundtracking podcasts celebrating the series. Premier handled PR for the launch in addition to full production services for the junket. 

EA bring Vitiligo Representation to The Sims 4.

Premier worked with EA in the announcement of Vitiligo (a long-lasting condition that causes patches of skin to lose pigment or colour) being added to The Sims 4, furthering the effort to deliver content that authentically and respectfully mirrors the diversity of its millions of players. To mark the launch, EA partnered with supermodel and beauty entrepreneur Winnie Harlow. This announcement included a Simified version of her Hollywood home and a playable, Winnie-inspired Sim. Premier supported this launch by securing a European exclusive feature interview piece with GLAMOUR. Additionally, the news received pick up from a variety of mainstream and specialist sites, including Radio Times, GAMINGbible, Yahoo! Movies, Digital Spy, and TechRadar.

YouTube group The Sidemen release new documentary on Netflix. 

Premier have been working with Europe’s most popular YouTube group, the Sidemen to launch their landmark feature documentary The Sidemen Story which launched last week exclusively on Netflix UK. With unprecedented access to the Sidemen and their world, the feature-length documentary is a deeply personal film that gives a heartfelt and honest insight into the unique personalities of the individual members as well as the personal challenges they have faced during their meteoric journey to success. Blending intimate cinéma verité, archival footage, and on-camera interviews The Sidemen Story documents the epic ten-year rise of the collective from bedroom gamers to global internet sensations.

Watch Now: Premier produces short film for LNER to celebrate Valentine’s day.

In a celebration of love and connection this Valentine’s Day, Premier worked with LNER to create a touching video for Instagram. Premier scripted  and cast a short film which  traces the journey of a couple's poignant reunion, made possible by LNER's services. In scenes across LNER’s train route, our multi-day video shoot captured the essence of romance, delivering a high-quality piece tailored for social media. Watch the short film here.
