The training allowed participating city officials to develop mixed migration action plans empowered by city diplomacy's political, technical, and financial resources.

Students' Insights from
the Collaboratory on African Cities

Last semester, Columbia University's Center for Undergraduate Global Engagement, in partnership with the City Diplomacy Lab and Columbia Global Centers | Nairobi, hosted the Global Columbia Collaboratory Flourishing African Cities program. This virtual learning opportunity allowed 44 students from 13 countries to reflect, ideate, and collaborate on African cities' paths toward sustainability and resilience
Four students who participated in the program shared their opinions on the experience and the aspects that stood out to them the most.
