This year, we're going back to school and bringing back plaid mini-skirts, big homecoming dresses, letterman jackets, and even classic school uniforms. Think more "camp" and less "gala". Meet the Star Awards Host: McNamara Alumni Center

ILEA is excited to have McNamara Alumni Center as this year's Minnesota Star Awards official location! We sat down with Sari Brouwer, Director of Sales & Events, to get to know more about this stunning venue and why they are excited to be the host of the 20th Annual MN Star Awards.

How has ILEA membership been important to McNamara?
"McNamara has been a member of ILEA for as many years as the Star Awards have been taking place--20 years! The network of colleagues — both planners and suppliers — makes meetings rewarding and enjoyable. It's a very supportive and enthusiastic community, generous with sharing expertise and best practices."

What are you most looking forward to about the event?
"Seeing both our venue transform and our friends and colleagues enjoying themselves in our beautiful venue. It's sure to be a great night!"

Why did you say yes to hosting the Star Awards this year?
"We wanted to be part of the Star Awards' 20th anniversary and reintroduce our stunning venue to the Twin Cities event industry."

What are three things people should know about hosting an event at McNamara?
"1. Parking is easy; we have an adjacent 500-car parking ramp connected by tunnel to MAC.
2. Award-winning D'Amico Catering is our exclusive caterer with a full-service kitchen and staff onsite.
