Stswékstem Engineered Waste Management Facility: Q&A
Can the general public use the facility?
Yes, the general public and contractors can use the facility; whether you reside on reserve, in the City of Kamloops, or within the TNRD, the facility is open to all.
Do TteS Members have to pay a fee to use the facility?
No, TteS Members can dispose of personal waste (not business waste and limited to a truck and trailer) free of charge.
Why do TteS Members have to show a status card to use the facility?
We require a status card to confirm member identity so that others don’t take advantage of the “free of charge” service only available to members. If you have a friend, partner, etc., helping you dispose of waste, please come up to the facility with them.
Will you pick up my load?
No, we are a drop-off facility only. But if you are a TteS member and don’t have access to a vehicle and can’t find someone to help out, please connect with Janice Michel from the Housing Department and they may be able to organize a commercial bin drop off.
Still have questions?
Connect with Nova Sekhon from the Business and Economic Development department at nova.sekhon@ttes.ca or 250-320-1664

Business Directory
KIBDC (EcDev) frequently receives inquiries for a comprehensive list of businesses owned by Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc (TteS) members. However, the organization has faced challenges in fulfilling this request. In response, KIBDC (EcDev) has launched an online business directory. TteS members who own businesses are encouraged to complete the online form (link provided below) to ensure inclusion in our directory.
Once submitted, each business will undergo validation and will be showcased on www.tkemlupsbusiness.ca within a few days. This initiative aims to provide a centralized platform for TteS member-owned businesses, offering increased visibility and accessibility.
