Table Talk with Members of Pittsburgh’s Oldest Black Church
Together, we will think about the theological and ethical call for reparations to the Black Community in general and to Bethel AME Church in the Hill District in particular, as they seek restitution for loss of land and wealth. Come this Sunday,  at 1:00 pm in the Undercroft Gallery. These will be hard, vulnerable conversations, calling all participants to open their hearts and minds to hear the stories of those marginalized and recognize their own responsibility to repent and repair. Discussions will be drawn from Reparations: A Christian Call for Repentance and Repair by Duke L. Kwon and Gregory Thompson. Pastor Snyder from Bethel AME has asked us to read this book before our conversation. Participants must register to attend. Use this link to register: We invite you to come in person. A light lunch will be served to registrants beforehand. A Zoom link will be shared with registrants who prefer to participate online.
From Your Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees will meet on Wednesday, March 20, at 7:00 p.m. Church members and friends are welcome to attend.

This meeting will be a hybrid meeting, in the Schweitzer room and via Zoom. Members and friends are welcome to attend in person. If you would like to attend a Board meeting via Zoom as an observer please contact Board Secretary Nick Izzo (izzonj@gmail.com) who will arrange for you to receive the link to join the meeting. If you have an issue that you would like to speak about at a Board meeting, please send your request to the Board Secretary along with a brief explanation of the issue you would like to bring to the Board’s attention.

News and Updates
Rev. Kate is out of town on Study Leave from March 19 to 26. She’s working, just not from the office.

The First UU RE program looks forward to springtime celebrations!
This Sunday, March 17, there will be no RE classes as all children will join the multigenerational service in celebration of Spring Equinox and Ostara. Regular RE classes will be held on March 24. On March 31, RE classes will be held, and all children will engage in a craft activity with teachers in honor of Easter and Spring. After service on March 31, we'll have an egg hunt on the church lawn. Collect eggs and trade them for prizes! The RE program is in need of a few more adult volunteers to supervise craft stations for preK-3rd grade children on March 31 during the service. No experience is required! Contact
HeatherBCunningham@gmail.com if you can assist. It will be fun!
