40 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR PEACE

A new surge of extremist violence in Cabo Delgado has terrorized a region that had previously been seen as “untouchable” and is predominantly Christian. Many churches have been burned, thousands have fled into the bush, and many are unaccounted for.

Gang violence in Haiti has reached an explosive high with gangs breeching prisons and releasing over 4,000 prisoners into the streets, killing innocent civilians, and threatening an imminent takeover of the national government.

Iris is no stranger to crisis, uncertainty, chaos, and struggle. As a matter of fact, those are the exact situations we believe the Lord has asked us to position ourselves in the middle of — for the long haul. And yet our familiarity with this does not dull our dependency on God. We are reminded afresh of how much we need Him and that apart from Him we can do nothing. With that in mind, we are rallying our global family for 40 days of prayer — to come boldly before His throne of grace and press in for peace. For peace in Pemba; for peace in Haiti; for peace in Gaza; for peace on Earth!

IRIS HARVEST SCHOOL OF MISSIONS (HS40)

Apr 1 – May 27, 2024

Harvest School is a Spirit-filled hands-on missions school that trains, equips and sends out radical lovers of Jesus to the ends of the earth! For Harvest School 40, we will converge with the Iris Fortaleza missions school located on the beautiful northeast coast of Brazil. As you are being poured into, you will be pouring out into some of the poorest areas in Brazil on the outreaches, and and be practicing what you learn in the classroom.

Following the school, there will be opportunities to go on optional international “extended outreaches”. We will travel in small teams throughout the nations on extended outreaches to experience cross-cultural missions to we serve, love, and minister to the least of these.
