Hi Everyone,

M25 WEEKEND CLOSURE EXPECTED TO IMPACT LOCAL AREA

I do hope you are all keeping well.

Next weekend, starting on Friday 15th March at 9pm until 06 am Monday 18th March the M25 will be closed in BOTH  directions between junction 10 (A3 junction) and 11 (St Peters Way Chertsey) to demolish the Clearmount bridleway bridge and install a large gantry.

The official diversion route (shown below) from junction 10 is north east along the A3 to Painshill Junction, Cobham, along the A245 through Byfleet, West Byfleet, and Woodham to the six crossroads roundabout and then along the A320 through Ottershaw to St Peter’s Way. From junction 11 the route is same but in reverse.

Local congestion is expected.

This is the first scheduled daytime all-lanes shutdown on the M25 since it opened in 1986.

This is the first of five closures between now and September 2024. Exact dates will be published nearer the time of the closures.

The carriageway between junctions 9 and 11 carries between 4,000 and 6,000 vehicles per hour in each direction between 10am and 9pm on a weekend. Around 200,000 M25 journeys are expected to be impacted over the weekend.
