SERVE WITH OAK TREE MINISTRIES IN EAST LAKE

Oak Tree Ministries has a number of new opportunities for individuals and small groups to serve the families of Mark's Village. Small groups can provide a meal for the new You Lead class, help with renovations at the Newman Center, or participate in community clean up day. Individuals can serve as tutors, mentors, or even transportation to the grocery store.

LOCAL MISSION OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR FAMILY

The BH ESL program is doing something new this year... we are combining Rock the Block for kids with English Classes for adults for one fun week for the whole family! We are looking for volunteers to teach adults, lead kids, serve snacks, do crafts, and much more. Save the date now and start getting those background checks turned in so your family can join us for a fun week of both teaching English and sharing the Gospel. For more information or to add your name to the list of volunteers, email Grace HERE.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT LOCAL FOOD BANK
Serving You Ministries in East Lake has unique ways to serve those most in need in our city. They are collecting plastic grocery bags for clients to use when they access the market. They are taking donations of toiletry and feminine hygiene items since these are often the most expensive items to purchase. They are taking used car donations to help single-moms and internationals own cars without going into debt. They are looking for small groups to serve together on Sunday afternoons. And they are always looking for regular volunteers to serve once a week at the client-choice food pantry. For more information or to sign up to serve in one of these ways, email John Gibson HERE.
Weekly Prayer Focus
This week we are praying for Mission Increase, a Christian foundation that supports over 110 Christian non-profits in Central Alabama through teaching, coaching, and consulting with a biblical lense. We are also praying for Shades Mountain Community Church and Pastor Rick Goertzen.
