Fifth Sunday of Lent | March 17, 2024

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather and work is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Ts'elxwéyeqw and Pelólxw Tribes of the Stó:lō people.

Mass Intentions

Pope Francis’ March Intention

We pray that those who risk their lives for the Gospel in various parts of the world inflame the Church with their courage and missionary enthusiasm.

Weekly Bible Reflection

I will be their God and they shall be my people.” - Jeremiah 31:33

What does it mean to be God’s people?  It means we recognize that everything we have and everything we are belongs to God.  We aren’t “owners” of anything, we are merely “stewards” of the gifts God has given us.  It means we are willing to use our gifts and our lives to care for our family, our neighbors and for people we don’t know, just as God cares for each of us.

THIRD SCRUTINY:   This Sunday, at the 9:30 Mass we celebrate the third and final scrutiny for the Elect (the unbaptized).  These Rites are celebrated to help deliver the Elect from the power of sin and to give them strength in Christ, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  Please keep the Elect and the Catechumens in your prayers as they prepare themselves for the reception of the sacraments this Easter. Thanks!
