GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT
 Dr. David A. Busic, was elected general superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene at the 28th General Assembly, in June 2013. At the time of his election, he had been president of Nazarene Theological Seminary since 2011.
Dr. Busic has also authored five books, including his most recent volume, The Praying Pastor: Learning to Lead from your Knees. Busic and his wife, Christi, live in Edmond, Oklahoma. They have three grown children and seven grandchildren.
Dr. Busic will be with us to minister and guide our business. He is asking for Q&A time with the assembly to address things stirring in your heart and mind. Bring your questions! We are excited to have Dr. Busic preside over our assembly.

SCHEDULE
We are less than a month away from our annual gathering for District Assembly. Our theme is “Reflecting and Engaging.” We come together to reflect and give thanks for God’s Spirt at work among us. This past year we have encountered ups and downs, joy and lament, gains and losses, life and death. We have some reflecting to do. But our glance in the rear-view mirror is not enough. We want to look out ahead about ways to engage in the future God is leading us into. Here are highlights that await us:
We will be electing a new District Superintendent. This is a crucial juncture in our work together. We want the right leader for the next chapter God wants us to join him in writing.
- Other important elections are before us: DAB members, District NMI President, NDI members, and NNU Trustees.
- We will ordain three and give first-time licenses to seven.
- We will honor the memory of our beloved DS Jerry Kester.
- We will hear from Randy Craker who will be giving his first and last report as your District Superintendent.
- We will hear from our NNU President, Dr. Joel Pearsall.
- We will hear the final report of our NMI President Debra Voelker.
- We will view videos of important ministries from throughout our denomination.
- We will be led in breakout sessions by our NMI and NDI.
- We will have an introduction, pictures, and a few words from each of our pastors.

CRISIS CARE KITS
Crisis Care Kits are stored in our distribution center and dispatched globally during disasters. Recently, kits were sent to help flooding and tornado victims in the United States.
