Brasil Hope Tour 2024

The Local Leader

I have been a volunteer at ANS Ministries for a few years now and the Brasil Hope Tour in our community has great meaning for me and the entire community I pastor.

The Brasil Hope Tour has positively impacted the local community. The Lord Jesus has been preached to people who would hardly go to a church, biblical values have been shared, people have been converted and left their evil ways and come to the teachings of Jesus.

This year at the ANS Cup something surprised me! As we were in the organization and in the "Electric Trio Car" singing gospel songs in the style of football players, I saw from afar my son's team (Anthony Filho) become runner-up, beating the team in the semi-final who was last year's champion.

More than the victory, I saw the team members, like my own son, give up their money prize and bless the local church in order to cover mission expenses. These teachings remain rooted in our hearts that the greatest victory is not having things but being grateful to God for everything He has already given us.

Here's to the next Hope Tours.

The ANS Cup

The Second ANS Cup in Rio Tinto, Paraiba, Brazil.
"I am very happy with the ANS Cup 2024. It makes me happy because through it we can positively involve the youth and families in our community at the same time that we are sowing seeds of the Word of God. This year we had a good surprise because we managed to attract a larger number of people to the ANS Cup location compared to last year, 400 souls were evangelized by the ANS Cup. With that, I would like to thank the president of the mission for his trust once again and may God bless his life and that of his family." - Glaucio Luis, Director of the ANS Cup 2024 in Paraiba
"As commissioned by God to preach the Gospel and bring good news, we are faced with physical and spiritual needs. As servants, we take advantage of the opportunity of the ANS Cup to bring people together through simple raffled gifts that demonstrate God's love and care in every detail of our lives. It's always valuable to see so many smiles!" - Morgana Pontes, Volunteer in the ANS Cup
Congratulations to all the teams that participated in the ANS Cup 2024 in Paraiba, Brazil. We want to acknowledge every volunteer that made it possible and in special IBTA Church in Rio Tinto. Until next time, thank you!

Ministering at the Local Church

Womens International Day Celebration, IBTA Church, Rio Tinto, Paraiba, Brazil
The Brasil Hope Tour 2024 began with our team arriving in Joao Pessoa and heading straight from the airport to Rio Tinto, Paraiba (Approximately 150 Km from the capital João Pessoa) where as closure of the celebrations for Women International Day, the Church was expecting volunteer Stephanie Goncalves as a guest speaker.
"I spoke to the church in Rio Tinto with the emphasis being giving your whole life to service for the Lord by making Him your priority and learning how to hear the voice and prompting of the Holy Spirit.  We also celebrated Women’s Month.  I loved seeing the joy on all the faces as we sang and worshiped the Lord.  I cannot wait to return again next year to celebrate lives changed and the impact made to the community as the women love their friends and family to the Lord." The First Gospel Crusade

Gospel Crusade in Asa Branca, João Pessoa, PB, Brazil  during the Brasil Hope Tour 2024
During the Brasil Hope Tour 2024 the first open air Gospel crusade happened in the slum community of Asa Branca in João Pessoa, Paraiba, Brazil. The preparations for the event were challenging because the week prior to the event three people were murdered in the community as drug gangs engaged in battle for territory. The permission to conduct the event had to be confirmed once again with the community boss, whom also controls the traffic in the area. He regranted the permission and reassured that it would be safe for our team and that no dealings would be taking place during our Gospel crusade. We decided that we would go ahead with our plans to preach the Gospel and sure enough it was the correct decision.
"During the crusade we were witnesses of the power of God healing some people from their illnesses. In addition to the healings we witnessed during the crusade, it was wonderful to see lives surrendering to Jesus, there is nothing more rewarding than people understanding and responding to the call of salvation.

After the crusade, the brothers on the streets still commented on what a different night it had been in the presence of God, and that they had never participated in anything like this. Mrs. Penha herself, as she is known, who provided the space in front of her house, was amazed and felt blessed by God to have welcomed all her brothers.

The impact of seeing God perform the supernatural in a simple and objective way, but the power of God manifesting itself powerfully, an extraordinary event, where Jesus was proclaimed from beginning to end, without losing the centrality of the Gospel which is Christ himself.

We look forward to the next Brasil Hope Tour."

The Second Gospel Crusade

Gospel Crusade in Regina Village, Jaraguá Tribe, Rio Tinto, PB, Brazil
The location of the evangelistic crusade was in the indigenous community of Jaraguá, located in the Regina Village a sector in the municipality of Rio Tinto, PB, Brazil. This community, similar to so many other impoverished communities in the area is also struggling with an exponential increase of crime related to drug trafficking.
The invitation for the event happened on the same week of the Brasil Hope Tour, it was a last minute thing. We figured it was an opportunity being created by God and even though we had not prepared for it in on our regular programs for the week we needed to capitalize on it. We made adjustments to our schedules and off we went to our second crusade.
“Several people responded to the call to receive healing from God, and after witnessing his miracles the responses were more. Furthermore, the word given that night brought a deep understanding about a God who is a Spirit and also wants to be pleased in spirit. It was quite impactful” - Morgana Pontes, Member of IBTA Church
"God was moving in so many ways throughout the community that night. It was a pretty amazing experience, seeing all the miracles that happened and getting to share the Word of God with the people." - Hannah Goncalves, Brasil Hope Tour 2024 Volunteer

February 2024

The Youth Retreat

IBTA Church Youth Retreat in Paraiba, Brazil.

From February 10-14, IBTA Church put together a youth retreat for youth of the church and open for the community. There were 70-90 youth attending and boarding at the location of the event. During service times the attendance would increase as parents of the youth as well as members of the community would join.

It's an honor for ANS Ministries to serve with our long standing partner IBTA Church.  The church's pastor, Anthony Pontes, was ordained as a pastor during the Tanzania Hope Tour 2015 event in Bukoba, Tazania. I was overjoyed to join the yearly retreat for the second time where I preached, lead seminar sessions, conducted Bible studies and baptized new believers.

Other fruits during this event were youth publicly confessing Christ through water baptism, renouncing involvement in witchcraft, returning to faith, accepting the invitation to follow Christ and deliverances from demonization. The Gospel was preached in love and power and the fruits were congruent with the biblical record.

Thank you for supporting ANS Ministries,
