Sustainability might have been a goal that you added to your New Year’s resolutions for 2024, whether it be to recycle your old plastic containers, shop second-hand, donate old clothes or even start using a compost bin.
Sustainability doesn’t mean you have to buy completely new products, it just means that you should apply more conscious thinking to your decisions.
A&E staffer Maddie Thielke compiled a list of five eco-efficient businesses within a ten-mile radius of Sacramento State which include Sacramento Natural Foods Cooperative, Refill Madness and more.

As trends change and the desire for skincare grows, so does its affordability, but maxing out your credit card isn’t the only option. The skincare industry now offers affordable and accessible products for everyone.
I’ve tried many skincare products throughout the years, and I have found that these five products work best for their affordable price.
These are my top five recommendations that won’t break the bank which include LaRoche-Posay Cleanser, CeraVe Lotion and more.

The 1987 film “Mannequin” stars Andrew McCarthy and Kim Cattrall in an unexpected romance of objectophilia love. McCarthy and Cattrall take quirky to new heights. (Photo courtesy of 20th Century Fox, Graphic created in Canva by Alyssa Branum)

The 1987 film “Mannequin” features the uncomfortable theme of objectophilia, as an unemployed artist falls in love with his creation at an unhealthy rate.
Artists love their creations, whether it’s an oil painting, sculpture or even pottery, but artist Jonathan Switcher, played by the actor Andrew McCarthy, takes passion to new heights with a deep lustful attraction to his wooden mannequin.
A truly unabashedly goofy 80s film. The 80s were a time of goofy and humorous films that tested new themes of adventure, love and character development. “Mannequin” is definitely a film that pushes those concepts to aching new levels.
