I'm thinking of how I felt connected to Good Friday as a child. Was it the name? It always made me feel connected to Jesus, but it wasn't logical. I did not resonate with the stories of crucifixion. It was never easy for me to envision Jesus with a bloody crown of thorns and a sacrificial cross.
As a child, I didn't yet understand that I saw it all differently than others usually did.
Today is Good Friday again. I still don't know why it's considered "good" — and apparently, either does the rest of the world. A quick internet search yields a variety of unrelated guesses and rumors regarding the word "good" on this day.
So I ponder, as I often do a few hours before the son rises. (An absolute TYPO!!!!! But so appropriate, so I'll leave it.)
With my first deep breath into alternate consciousness, I hear.....
"Liberation! Today is a celebration of liberation."
That's perplexing. Especially to consider today as a celebration. So, I ask to see the bigger picture.
Spirit helps me to understand.....
We've been taught that today is a day of suffering, sacrifice, and death. But these experiences do not exist within the divine consciousness. They are limited to a physical experience only!
I have long believed that Jesus did not experience the "crucifixion" as an ordinary man would.
He was the embodiment of Christ Consciousness in human form. Physical constraints could not define him! He was never bound to the physical experience alone.
He knew how to shift planes of consciousness with ease and grace.
When his body (hid body only!) died on that cross, his spirit was liberated from the tethers of physical parameters. He completed his mission as a "child" of God (the frequency of pure, all embodying Love) and was free to BE LOVE ~ regardless of form (in body or in spirit).
They physical stories (limited perceptions of what is) could no longer hold him back from being ALL he truly is. All he eternally is.
When he returned on the third day, in his body by choice and will, he demonstrated that our body does not bind us.
It does not limit us.
Only our perceptions of "what the body is" can hold us back from being infinite while in human form.
This is profound!
This is the true teaching of Liberation and Ascension that Easter brings (with Good Friday opening that gate of transformation).
Three days! It's the symbolism of merging all opposing views (duality) into union (oneness and god-source).
We are not only earthly or divine. We are earthly divine!
We are HOLY in our vulnerability and our boundless potential. When we are empowered (in awareness), it's all a choice.
We feel pain when we don't believe we have a choice — when we feel bound to the physical conditions only.
We feel pain on this day when we believe that Jesus didn't have a choice! When we believe that he suffered and sacrificed himself.
But what if we look at this story differently.
What if Jesus loved us so much that he wanted to demonstrate the POWER we hold in our own lives!?
The power to choose love or hate.
The power to let our physical experience define us or empower us.
He never died on that cross! No part of me will believe that.
He ascended to a conscious state where the physical was an experience he could choose at will, which he demonstrated on the third day (and many other times).
Once we free ourselves from the perceptions of a limited body and mind, we are limitless!!!!!!!!
We become Christ Consciousness in human form, too.
Today, I'm inspired to think about the personal beliefs that hold me back. It's time to release them, but only because it is my choice to do so.
