This Week at Waters

Waters Families,

We had a very special visitor today, Yasmin, who attended Waters from 1961-1965. She came to the neighborhood from Cuba. Like many of the newcomers that attend Waters currently, she lived on Wilson Ave. and spoke little to no English upon arrival. The note she left for us in the office is a reminder of the importance and impact of the work our community is doing, and must continue to do. Please see the note below.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10

Wednesday April 10 is a non-attendance day for students. However, both the LSC Election and Report Card pickup will be happening on that day. If you haven’t had a chance to sign up for a parent conference time slot, please do so using this link.

6th Graders Transferring Cabbage from the Hydroponic Station to Pots

WILSON AVE BRIDGE CLOSURE

The work is expected to begin on Monday 3/25, and will require the bridge to be closed to vehicular traffic for approximately 9 weeks. Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians and bicyclists.

An official detour will be marked diverting vehicular traffic to the Montrose bridge via Western Ave. All residents will retain access to their homes on either side of the river.
