Enjoy a refreshing break with your family, taking the opportunity to relax and explore new experiences. As students gear up to return, they'll be making important decisions about their course selection for the upcoming academic year via PowerSchool. While we'll be sending reminders, we encourage you to get a head start and browse through the course catalogue for next year.

Our courses were completely filled this last year, underscoring the importance of early course selection for the next academic year. Students who delay their course selection might find fewer options available. Hence, planning ahead is the key to securing the courses of your choice before this academic year wraps up.

April - Course pick

Diploma Exams June

Students who are taking a diploma course are now registered at several different diploma writing centers.  An email was sent out indicating which location you will be writing at.  

You can also check this information on myPass through Alberta Education. For more information about diploma exams, please visit our website or ask your teachers.

Trades Trip:  Limited Slots Available!

Are you interested in working in the trades?  Come with us to visit Local 496 in Calgary to learn how you can be trained to have solid job opportunities in the trades.  The trip date will be the week of March 21.  Please e-mail our guidance counsellor if you are interested (cvanysselsteyn@rockyview.ab.ca).

Important Reminder - RVS Login Change

Rocky View Schools has now expired all Grade 9-12 STUDENT login passwords to ensure security within our systems.

Students who have not updated to the new password format WILL NOT BE ABLE to login to wifi, PowerSchool, Google, Moodle, or online RVS platforms until you change your password.

The username is everything BEFORE the "@" symbol in your RVS email.   New passwords are case sensitive, at least 8 characters long, contain a special character (@#$%^&*), an uppercase letter, and a number.

Please make a password you will remember!

Solar Eclipse Safety

As you may know, on April 8th, from approximately 11:48am to 1:40pm, a partial solar eclipse will be observable in the province of Alberta.

While exciting, it is imperative that we prioritize the well-being of our students during this event. Direct solar observation poses a significant risk of ocular damage; therefore, it is critical that all students adhere strictly to safety protocols to avoid any potential harm.
