The only regular business item on Tuesday's (March 26th) City Council agenda is G1: Approve fiscal year 2024-25 budget principles. Between now and the end of June the City Council will be devoting time and energy towards next year's budget.
To help guide budget discussions, the Council held a Goal Setting Workshop on Tuesday, March 12th (see photo of Councilmembers below) and selected four major priority areas to focus on in the coming year:
Housing
Safe Streets
Climate
Emergency Preparedness
I'm looking forward to working with my Council colleagues, City staff and community members to make progress on these goals and on many other important initiatives.

In other news, Menlo Park received notification this week from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) that our Housing Element is in substantial compliance with State Housing Element law and has received certification from the State.
