There is a beautiful song entitled When He Was On The Cross, I Was On His Mind, written by Ronny Hinson and Mike Payne. The second stanza describes what Jesus was enduring Good Friday so many years ago. It goes like this:
The look of love was on his face
Thorns were on his head
The blood was on his scarlet robe
Stained a crimson red
Though his eyes were on the crowd that day
He looked ahead in time
Cause when he was on the Cross
I was on his mind
We have just come from our Lenten Season and we know the rest of the story! Jesus DID have each one of us on his mind as he laid down his life for our sins. What a comforting and joyous thought. A love this big and monumental is from the God we serve and deserves to be passed on to all that we meet.
A special thank you to Pastor Ann and her entire team of volunteers who have made our Lenten Season so meaningful.
Blessings,
