Congratulations to Bob and Cathy Brookshire at 2200 Lincoln St. for being selected as March's Yard of the Month (YOM) winners!
Over the last few years, Bob and Cathy completely renovated the front and side yards leaving only the azalea bushes that surround their porch. They removed the struggling water-reliant grass lawn that surrounded the house and planted a wraparound shade garden with numerous plants including Angelonia, Lemon Ball Stonecrop Sedum, Torenia Fournieri, Mahonia, Hostas, encore Cora Bells and more.
Thank you to Image 360 for providing us with beautiful YOM signage and to Gardner's Outpost for providing all winners of Elmwood Park's YOM a gift certificate to use at their store on Franklin St. in Cottontown.
Interested in joining the Elmwood Park YOM Committee? Please email Dave Barbeau.

Gardener’s Outpost March Tip
|
|
March is the month that brings us spring! This is an exciting time when the sun stays out longer and our desire to play in the garden becomes a reality. But keep an eye on the nighttime temperatures, our last average frost date is from April 1-10. Your tender perennials, annual flowers and herbs will wilt below 40 degrees and cannot handle a hard frost.
