Dear colleague,

Welcome to the Ealing Gatekeeping Directors' Report to governors/trustees for March 2024. The half termly Gatekeeping Directors’ Report presents items of relevance to governing boards that have been shared via Ealing’s Gatekeeping newsletter with schools since the February 2024 Directors’ Report.
 
A copy of this Gatekeeping online Directors’ Report to governing boards has been sent to all governors, trustees and clerks via the Ealing membership data base (on GovernorHub). Please note the email address it will be sent from is info@governorhub.email so please check your ’junk’ folder if you do not receive. It can also be found on the Ealing Governor Services GovernorHub noticeboard and  Ealing Grid for Learning (EGfL). Previous editions of the Directors’ Report can also be found on EGfL.
 
Please note this is an online report consisting of links to relevant EGfL Gatekeeping pages. Unfortunately, it cannot be formatted into one downloadable document.
 
Reminder Ealing governor / trustee membership LA database
Since November 2022 all boards are required to use the GovernorHub platform to keep membership details up to date.  Recorded training on how to use this site is available here and on GovernorHub under the Ealing Governor Services ‘Training’ tab.  If you require help with accessing / updating your governor information, please do contact us governors@ealing.gov.uk or request a password reminder Sign into GovernorHub.
 
Governor recruitment
At our recent governor recruitment event with Governors for Schools, approx. 40 interested individuals attended, with others not able to attend expressing interest. To take advantage of potential new applicants, please make sure you register the vacancy on the Governors for Schools website. It is only by doing this that any new applicants can be sent to you. Governor training
Training for the summer term for all governing board members is available to view and book via CPD online.  Our new training programme will be available in July for 2024/5.

Schools block allocations 2024-25 for mainstream schools have now been finalised, following ESFA sign off and political ratification, and are available to view. There are no changes from the indicative version.
