Flower Communion & Easter

Sunday, March 31st
10:30am
Join us in person or Zoom!

This Sunday as part of Easter we hold our Flower Communion. We ask everyone to please bring a flower or two with them to the service. These can be from your garden or the store. They can be weeds you love, vegetables that enhance a bouquet, or whatever you celebrate as bringing beauty!

Flower Communion is one of the UU "Holy Days". It honors spring, growth and new life. Join us as we share this ritual together, and be sure to have a flower next to your computer screen or bring it in hand to the building.

Learning how to give empathy to yourself and others is the foundation to how we begin to repair our fractured society. How we move toward reconciliation and repair will be crucial to transform our society into one that centers community care and love.

This class will be facilitated by Aisha Hauser.

This should be a great class and a great opportunity to connect with CLF. If you aren't able to make this online class, we may also be able to offer a series at Northlake, so please reach out to Margaret at DLRE@northlakeuu.org if you are interested or if you have any questions!

Ministry Circle

All who are involved in leading the ministry programs of our church are invited to the Ministry Circle gathering after the service on Sunday, April 14th from noon-2:00. We will review the Ministry Manual that has all the policies and program descriptions and talk about hopes for the upcoming months.

Share-the-Plate

Northlake’s Share-the-Plate recipient for the first four Sundays in March is LifeWire, a non-profit organization based in Bellevue, which has been serving the needs of survivors of domestic violence since 1982. Their clients come from all over East and North King County, seeking help with shelter, housing, advocacy, counseling, and finances. Their website provides details of the services they offer: https://lifewire.org. LifeWire offers emergency shelter, transitional housing, support groups, therapy, legal advocacy, and prevention education.
