Twin Cities Family Cooperative - Intergenerational Cohousing Community

Twin Cities Family Cooperative - Intergenerational Cohousing Community is looking for members--singles, couples, families of all sizes! They are seeking founding members as well as folks who might want to join after property is acquired. Their mission is to build a community harmonious with nature that creates a more equitable society and better quality of life.

They are hosting regular events online and in-person for people to meet us and learn about our community. E.g.,

Walkability and cohousing

Come to the Merriam Park Library in St Paul
Ian Thomas from America Walks, a national walkability nonprofit, will highlight the joys and benefits of walking.
Brought to you by Cedar Cohousing group, which is looking for a walkable area for their community's location.

Alan O'Hashi is past president of CohousingUS and has a background in journalism and documentary directing and producing. He also writes books, the latest of which, Libby Flats, is a novel with a love story, partially set in cohousing.
 
His passion for storytelling permeates his community-buidling work. Alan is executive director and producer for Boulder Community Media, and Alan lives in Silver Sage Village, a cohousing senior community in Boulder.

Minnesota Ecovillage Project


Several chances to get involved this month
Minnesota Ecovillage Project has purchased 66 acres of wild, beautiful land (with ponds and a river) where they will begin construction of the Ecovillage in April 2024.

There will be lots of opportunities to get involved this spring, including community potlucks in the Twin Cities, camping celebrations, and work days at the land, creating gardens, paths, and an outdoor kitchen / gathering spot.

  • March 19. 2-9pm.   Tuesday Spring Equinox Celebration + Seed Starting Party - Micah and Ellen's House (Twin Cities)
  • March 23-24   Camp & work - Play at the land
