| | | | | | Customer Service. Collaboration. Communication | | | Dear Neighbor,
What does "aggressive economic development" look like in East Hartford? Economic development is a long game, and as we work to build new opportunities, we recognize the need for financial security along the way. Right now in East Hartford, it comes in the form of a mill rate increase, which we know is not sustainable long-term.
However, with new development coming to fruition, comes a growth in the grand list. New businesses mean new tax revenue and a shift in the tax burden from the residents to businesses.
Take a look at this presentation for a peek into all of the amazing economic development projects going on this year and in the coming years! | | | | | | | | The Town Clerk’s Office moved back to the Town Hall facility at 740 Main Street on March 1, 2024.
Timing and logistics for phases two (2) and three (3) of the move will be announced soon.

In Connecticut, Spring includes a variety of weather. March, April and May can see 80° days, a blizzard that dumps a foot of snow, a hurricane the creates significant damage, or thunderstorms with enough rain to cause severe flooding.
Because Connecticut weather is so unpredictable, the best time to prepare is before a weather-related disaster strikes.
