From the Principal’s desk

This term has felt like the busiest term for a very long time.  For some, it has yet to end as they are off on sports tours or adventure trips.

This time of year has a large number of significant religious days. May all who celebrate Ramadan find peace at this time and enjoy some special family time together.  Wishing our Hindu families success, happiness and prosperity. Have a colourful and joyous Holi!  For those who celebrate Easter, may it be an extra special time with family and friends and an engagement with your faith.

I wish everyone who is travelling over this break a safe journey. We bid a sad farewell to a few staff members this term.

Mr Wihan Neethling is leaving for a new adventure in sales following his move to Stellenbnosch.  We will miss his positive energy, ready smile and jokes.  We wish him only the best.

Ms Susan Viljoen is taking on a promotion post at Stellenberg High, and we congratulate her on this achievement.  Her attention to detail, love for the girls and positive energy will be missed.

Ms Liana van Schalkwyk is retiring early to return to her family in Swellendam.  We have loved having her here, and I wish her all the best.  Her learners and colleagues will miss her quiet strength. She has, however, agreed to do a paternity cover for Mr Bierman at the start of next term, for which we are grateful.

Ms Christelle Grimbeek has felt the calling to do something new, and we know that this too, will be a success.  Her kindness, love and positivity will be keenly missed.

Mr Abdul Charles has only been here for a term but has been a great part of the team.  We wish him all the best as he moves to his post at South Peninsula High.

Ms Tracey Howie has kindly stood in for our Matric Maths class over the past few months.  With our new full-time Mathematics teacher joining us in April, we sadly say goodbye to her.  She has been a fantastic help and a solid teacher.  Thank you.
