House of Lords Exploring Possibilities of Engineering Biology
The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee is launching an inquiry to explore the scope, applications, current landscape and ethical implications of engineering biology. The committee is inviting written contributions until Tuesday 7 May 2024.
OpenTech Highlight: OpenPlant Kit
Dr Eftychios Frangedakis and colleagues have developed the OpenPlant Kit, a series of resources and techniques that simplifies genetic engineering in plants. These tools can be used for applications such as crop development and bioproduction in plants.
