March 2024 CHAMPP Works In Progress Meeting

Thank you to CHAMPP Affiliate Faculty Timothy S. Anderson, MD, MAS, who presented "Older Adults’ and Primary Care Practitioners’ Perspectives on Using, Prescribing, and Deprescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain" at CHAMPP's monthly Works In Progress meeting on March 13.
Dr. Anderson is a primary care physician and health services researcher whose primary research interests are identifying strategies to improve the quality and equity of care delivered to older adults with chronic conditions and to optimize medication use for patients in the hospital and at home. He joined the University of Pittsburgh faculty in 2023, after completing an internal medicine residency and a chief medical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a primary care research fellowship at the University of California San Francisco, and four years on faculty at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School.
