Honouring our Volunteers
Our Beacons of Light
Flyer of volunteer luncheon
Our volunteers are literally beacons of light, illuminating the lives of others through their service and kindness. The impact that our volunteers have in brightening the lives of our members, whether it be greeting them at the door, or running a program, the light of service provided by our volunteers shines brightly. Our volunteers illuminate the path of kindness and compassion and we are so grateful to have them volunteer for us.

We invite you to join us for a delightful luncheon as we express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our dedicated volunteers who have worked tirelessly throughout the year. This event is our way of saying thank you for their unwavering commitment and the invaluable contributions to our organization.

As our upstairs space at MacBain is still waiting for renovations, we are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting this event at the newly opened Exchange. The Exchange is a 10,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor multipurpose event space created to foster and incubate the city's Food, Music, Art and Culture scenes. The Exchange is the new home of the Niagara Falls Famers' Market, in addition to artist & woodworking studios, an art gallery, an on-site café (coming soon), and more. Why not join us at this new venue and let's explore together? Your presence will make our event even more special as we celebrate in this exciting new space.

And if all this wasn't enough, there is more good news. Our luncheon is going to be catered by Chef Paul (and just like that, the crowd erupts into a frenzy like a pack of monkeys on a banana farm). For those who attended our Christmas party, let me tell you, the food was so good it had people talking about it well into the new year.

So, if you would like to thank our volunteers, explore a shiny new space and devour a scrumptious lunch, then you'd better hop on board and join us!

We are determined to dodge disappointment like it's a game of dodgeball! Please buy your tickets before Friday April 5. We cannot guarantee we will have enough tickets so don't wait until the last minute. Get them now before they vanish like socks in the dryer.

Please visit MacBain to purchase and pick up your ticket.

Special Request:
Is anyone in the membership able to lend us any lanterns (that are not family heirlooms) that you may have at home to help illuminate our event? Big or small, it doesn't matter. We will light up the lanterns with artificial light, as naked flames are not permitted.  If so, please bring them into MacBain clearly marked with your name on to my office, just located behind the front reception by Wednesday April 10. Thank you so much in advance.
We are buzzing with excitement to see your shining faces at our volunteer luncheon event at the Exchange. See you there!

All the best,

Hanya Mitchell
