Pope Francis’ March Intention We pray that those who risk their lives for the Gospel in various parts of the world inflame the Church with their courage and missionary enthusiasm.
|
Weekly Bible Reflection
“Pilate again said to them, ‘Then what shall I do with the man whom you call the King of the Jews?’ And they cried out again, ‘Crucify him.’” - Mark 15: 12-13
Jesus told us “whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me.” Every day we are presented opportunities to help someone. Every day we have the opportunity to see the face of Jesus in others and be the face of Jesus to others. Every day we pass by someone in need. Pray for the strength and courage to be the answer to someone’s prayer. Copyright © 2024 Archdiocese of St. Louis |

Knowledge leads to Understanding, Understanding leads to Empathy, Empathy leads to Wisdom
Reserve 107 was a film made in 2016. It speaks to land issues and the conversations that took place between the people of the Young Chippewayan Band and the Mennonite and Lutheran churches in Liard, Saskatchewan. There are differences in the many Indigenous communities and their relationships with non-indigenous people across Canada but this film shows good relationships developed from conversations between all these people.

| SPECIAL COLLECTION ON GOOD FRIDAY (Mar 29)The annual Good Friday Collection was first taken at Pope Paul VI’s request fifty years ago. It is the only yearly request asked by the Holy See of dioceses and parishioners throughout the world to assist the Church in the Holy Land. The monies collected support its pastoral, educational, and social works and help to maintain the Holy Places so important for the faith of Christians everywhere. For the sake of our brothers and sisters enduring hardships, please give generously during your parish’s Good Friday celebrations on March 29th, 2024. If you are unable to attend the service, it is possible to contribute by Interact e-transfer to terrasainte@bellnet.ca or online at Commissariat.ca - receipts will be issued. On behalf of the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land, to whom the Holy See has entrusted this ministry for nearly 700 years, I sincerely thank you for your support. Fr. Robert Mokry, OFM - Commissary of the Holy Land in Canada

| Volunteers needed!Laundry Driver - we have bedding from the Shelter that needs to be taken to our Supportive Housing to be washed everyday. The staff will bag the laundry and load it into our RAN Van. We are looking for someone who could pick it up at 11:30am from the Shelter and drive it to the Interchange. There, they would help to unload it and pick up the clean laundry to be transported back to the Shelter. Round trip should be approximately 1 hour. We are looking for volunteers to fill a couple of days of the week to start. We would prefer if you picked a day of the week and kept that date on an ongoing basis. If this is something that interests you, please contact me with the day of the week that works for your schedule and we will chat about more details (such as a drivers abstract, safe driving agreement, etc.). Upcoming Fundraising Events... Night of Hope Gala - May 3rd (we will be in need of some help the day before for set up as well as the day of). Again, if this is something that you are interested in, please let me know. Ride for RAN - September... we are going to be looking for a volunteer coordinator for that event. If you like working with a team, enjoy being outside, can handle a fast-paced event, then we need you! Connect with me at your earliest convenience to see if this is the right fit as we are going to start the planning for this event very soon!
